“Confession”
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
I humbly beseech thee, O Father, mercifully to look
upon my infirmities; and, for the glory of thy Name,
turn from all those evils that I most justly have
deserved; and that in all my troubles I may put my
whole trust and confidence in thy mercy, and evermore
serve thee in holiness and pureness of living, to thy
honor and glory; through my only Mediator and Advocate,
Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.
-time for self examination-
Merciful God, you pardon all who truly repent and turn to
you. I humbly confess my sins and ask your mercy. I
have not loved you with a pure heart, nor have I loved my
neighbor as myself. I have not done justice, loved
kindness, or walked humbly with you, my God. Have mercy
on me, O God, in your loving-kindness. In your great
compassion, cleanse me from my sin. Create in me a clean
heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Do not cast
me from your presence, or take your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation and sustain me with
your bountiful Spirit. Amen.
Son of God, I beseech thee to hear me. .
O Lamb of God, that takest away the sins of the world,
Have mercy upon me.
O Lamb of God, that takest away the sins of the world,
Have mercy upon me.
O Lamb of God, that takest away the sins of the world,
Grant me thy peace.
O Christ, hear me.
O Christ, hear me.
Lord, have mercy upon me.
Christ, have mercy upon me.
Lord, have mercy upon me.
“Forgiveness”
Almighty God, our heavenly Father, has had mercy upon you, has given his only Son to die for you, and for his sake forgives you all your sins. To whoever believes in Jesus Christ, he gives the power to become the children of God and bestows on them the Holy Spirit.
Amen
“The Lord’s Prayer”
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory. For ever and ever. Amen
